Eligibility
To be eligible for the Disability Employment Network program you must:
Sarina Russo Open Employment Services provides assistance to job seekers with a part-time participation requirement, an assessed work capacity of 15 to 29 hours per week, and an ability to work at award wages and to become independent in the workplace within two years.
Entry Procedure
There are four main pathways to enter our program:
Sarina Russo Open Employment Services does not discriminate against jobseekers wishing to access our service. Access to our service will depend on availability of places and your choice. Those job seekers assessed as being eligible for the programme will be registered accordingly.
Exit Procedures
Job seekers may exit from Sarina Russo Open Employment Services under one of the following circumstances:
Where a decision to exit has been made without job seeker agreement or consent, the SROES manager will explain the circumstances to the job seeker and assist as required in facilitating the exit process.
Allowable Break
Job Seekers that have an exemption from the Activity Test approved by Centrelink will be permitted an ‘allowable break’ from the DEN programme. Centrelink will determine the length of this break. The period of an allowable break will count towards the two year period of assistance. A job seeker who returns from an allowable break within 24 months of their last assessment can resume with the original DEN provider
Consumer Input
Sarina Russo Open Employment Services will work collaboratively with you in the development of an Employment Activity Plan to achieve your employment goals. This plan will be reviewed regularly with you to ensure that it reflects your current needs and aspirations. We value your input as a great way to improve our service. Ask your Employment Consultant or the Services Manager how you can participate further in making our service the best it can be.
Access to Training / Support
Sarina Russo Open Employment Services is committed to providing you with access to relevant training and support. We provide support relative to your needs to ensure you realise your employment capacity and potential. This may be on the job, off the job, vocational and or accredited training with a realistic employment outcome focus.
