Established in 1994, Russo School of Hotel & Tourism | Australia is a renowned international hotel management and culinary school in Brisbane. Industry Placement Service

Russo School of Hotel & Tourism | Australia has an established Industry Placement Program to provide realistic learning outcomes and enrich our course structures. We are committed to developing industry professionals with practical skills as well as study foundations. Due to the strong focus on industry needs, the work experience component is essential to any course.

Through our dedicated Student & Internship Coordinator, Russo School of Hotel & Tourism | Australia has developed long term relationships with hotels, travel agents and various business sectors that have exceptional facilities to provide industry placement position for our students.

Russo School of Hotel & Tourism | Australia industry placement program is strongly supported by major internationally recognised hotels and industry leaders such as the Stamford Plaza Brisbane, Hilton Hotel Brisbane, Flight Centre and Harvey World Travel.

Off-Campus Facilities at GPO Hotel

Our exciting new training facility for Hospitality Management students is the forever cool, hip and funky GPO Hotel - Beluga Lounge. The Beluga Lounge, on the ground floor of the GPO Hotel, is a funky restaurant and bar lounge servicing the after-work crowd ranging in capacities from 10 guests for an intimate sit-down dinner through to 120 people cocktail style. Russo School of Hotel and Tourism students complete their training in the commercial kitchen and the dining room areas of this modern facility.

Nardia Snell
Coordinator, Internship and Job Placements

Nardia has many years of industry experience in hospitality working in various departments for well known international hotel chains such as Sheraton and Marriott Hotels. Nardia has a passion for excellent customer service through a long family association with the hospitality industry. Nardia has worked in several supervisory and management roles, joining Russo School of Hotel and Tourism | Australia after successfully heading a 5 star hotel function department with over 2000 functions per year. Nardia plays an integral part of the success of our industry placement program. Following her growing passion for affecting positive change in the industry she decided that sharing her experiences would benefit the industry.

The Stamford Plaza Brisbane is proud to participate in the Sarina Russo Work Experience programme and provides students with hands on experience in a variety of Hotel operations, including The Brasserie on the River Restaurant, Banqueting, Room Service and Housekeeping. This practical experience, combined with the theoretical background gained at the Russo Institute, ensures graduating students have a comprehensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and positions them as highly sought after employees within this exciting field.
