On 8 May, we had the pleasure of hosting a delightful Mother's Day celebration for parents in the Melbourne northeast region, including Greensborough, Doreen, Heidelberg, and Preston. The event took place at the vibrant Hoopla Play Centre in South Morang, where 40 parents and their children gathered for a day filled with joy and camaraderie.
The play centre was buzzing with excitement as families enjoyed a variety of fun activities. The facilities offered something for everyone, including dodgem cars, ball pits, monkey gym, bowling, ginormous slides, and arcade games. In addition to the playtime, we treated our guests to a delicious lunch featuring mini burger sliders, sandwich platters, party pies, sausage rolls, chips, nuggets, and a refreshing fruit salad. It was a feast that everyone enjoyed!
The primary goal of this event was to celebrate our wonderful parents and acknowledge the incredible work they do. It was a fantastic day that allowed children to forge new friendships and provided a safe space for like-minded parents to connect, share ideas, and support each other. One of the most touching aspects of the event was witnessing parents creating new friendships and recognising familiar faces from other community groups. This sense of comfort and belonging is at the heart of our Parent Pathways Program.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff in Melbourne who organised this event. Their hard work and commitment ensured that the day was a resounding success. From planning the activities to coordinating the delicious lunch, their efforts made this celebration truly special for all attendees.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this Mother's Day celebration truly special.
