We are proud to join Queensland in celebrating the remarkable individuals and institutions recognised as 2025 Queensland Greats—honoured for their lasting and positive impact on our state.
Among this year’s distinguished recipients is our Founder and Managing Director, Sarina Russo AM, recognised for her lifelong dedication to empowering Australians through employment, education, and entrepreneurship.
For over 45 years, Sarina has empowered individuals nationwide to transform their lives through employment and education. Under her leadership, the Sarina Russo Group has placed tens of thousands of Australians into employment and supported the launch of over 10,000 businesses. Her visionary leadership also led to the establishment of James Cook University Brisbane, now a thriving international education hub welcoming students from over 88 countries.
Sarina’s influence spans more than 30 employment sites across Queensland and other states and territories, delivering inclusive services such as disability support and career development. Her long-standing partnership with James Cook University—recently extended for another 20 years—continues to shape the future of higher education in Australia.
This recognition follows Sarina’s appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2024 and the awarding of an Honorary Doctorate of Commerce, celebrating her lifelong dedication to empowering others.
The Queensland Greats Awards honour individuals and institutions whose achievements have significantly shaped the state’s identity and future. Sarina Russo’s legacy is one of resilience, innovation, and unwavering belief in the power of opportunity.
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the other 2025 Queensland Greats:
